If a FileGooi link leads to something unlawful, harmful, or that infringes your rights, tell us at support@filegooi.co.za and include the link. We act on reports quickly, and remove material that is unlawful.

Take-down notices (ECTA section 77)

If you want to send a formal take-down notice under section 77 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, please include:

1. your full name and address;
2. your written or electronic signature;
3. the right that you say has been infringed;
4. the FileGooi link(s) to the material concerned;
5. what you would like us to do about it;
6. your phone number and email address;
7. a statement that you are acting in good faith; and
8. a statement that, to the best of your knowledge, the information in the notice is true and correct.

Please note that someone who knowingly sends a false take-down notice can be held liable for the damage it causes.

Child sexual abuse material

Report it to us at once and also to the South African Police Service. We remove it immediately and keep what the law requires us to keep for the police.
